Training

  • MECHANICAL DESIGN
New mechanical structures and equipment can be designed to meet the needs of our clients in accordance with overhead travelling crane supporting structures, offshore CCUs, and various other specialized structures can be designed to perform their intended functions in a safe manner. Engineering Design Drawings Detailed drawings of the designed structures, inclusive of individual component materials, dimensions, bolting details and welding details are generated. Finite Element Analysis All designed structures will undergo a simulated load test via FEA methods to verify their loading capacities. Test loads incorporating a suitable safety factor are accurately applied to the 3D model of the structure in the intended loading orientation and locations to ensure that the stresses generated in the structural members are within an allowable range.
  • AS-BUILT MECHANICAL STRUCTURE ANALYSIS
Engineering analysis can be conducted on existing structures and equipment that have no existing supporting documentation. This is important to ensure that equipment currently at our clients facilities are safe to operate under the various loading conditions to which they are subjected. As-Built Engineering Drawings Detailed dimensions of existing structures are recorded by ICT personnel to facilitate the generation of detailed as-built drawings of our client’s existing mechanical structures and equipment. Finite Element Analysis 3D models of these structures are generated and are subjected to FEA simulations. Test loads incorporating a suitable safety factor are accurately applied to the 3D model of the structure in the intended loading orientation and locations to ensure that the stresses generated in the structural members are within an allowable range.
  • FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS (FEA)
Static load scenarios based on applied point loads, distributed loads, torsional loads, hydrostatic pressure, applied pressures, etc. can be simulated to verify the structural integrity of various equipment. Vertical impact tests can be simulated on models to determine the stresses and deflections generated when the equipment is dropped from varying heights or impacting a surface at a specified velocity.
